2010 NEYA Cheerleading Program

The Youth Cheerleading program is open to ages 7-12 and coincides with the Youth Football program. Participants' ages are determined by an October 16 cutoff date. Volunteer coaches work with the youth association on the latest in cheerleading chants, cheers, stunts, and dances. 

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.  If you are already registered your child and they have not been fitted for a new uniform, please call Melissa Bentley at (336) 382-1481 to set up an appointment to do so.

The estimated cost for uniforms are as follows:  Crop Top $20.27, Bloomers $7.46, Uniforms (Vest and Skirt) $64.05 or $65.77 depending on size, Pom Poms $16.16, Warm up suits $59.78 or $61.92 depending on size.  These items can be purchased as a package or individually depending on what is needed for your child. The registration fee is $55 per participant. The fee includes a trophy for your child and three tickets to the banquet at the end of the season. (The three tickets are as follows:  1 for the cheerleader and 2 for family and friends) additional tickets can be purchased as needed before the banquet.  For additional cheerleading information, contact Melissa Bentley at 336-382-1481 or Ann Brown @ 336-684-0178.

Practice will be on Monday and Thursday nights from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.  Once school starts we will end practice at 7:00 pm.  We will also cut down to one night of practice a week when the games start as you will be cheering an hour for the game.

3rd Annual NEYA Cheerleading Camp

Cheerleading camp is here again.  Please join us for our third annual camp!  We are still waiting for the date to be confirmed and will update the web site as soon as the date is confirmed.  Cheers, Chants, Stunts, and a Dance will be taught to the children.  Immediately following the camp, the children will perform all skills learned for the parents.

The fee for the camp will be $20.00 this will cover a one snack, water, and lunch along with a camp T-shirt.  If your child requires a special diet or wants specific food or drink we encourage parents to pack those items for the day.  Please have your child bring a water bottle or Gatorade to keep with them at all times.  We will be serving subway for lunch and will have a list of snacks and food that will be provided at a later date.
